Before equipment is selected, 6G turns the physical site and the way power is actually used into an engineering brief. That keeps the design focused on useful energy rather than a generic equipment package.
Confirm connector type, charger rating and the maximum AC charging power the vehicle can accept.
Check single/three-phase supply, main breaker, spare DB capacity and available load headroom.
Measure the route from DB to charger, mounting point, conduit/trunking needs and any civil work.
Test the existing earthing arrangement and identify whether a dedicated electrode or upgrade is required.
6G handles the complete charger installation path — supply assessment, dedicated cabling, protection, earthing, mounting, testing and vehicle commissioning — so the wallbox is not treated as a plug-and-play appliance.
Review the incoming supply, DB, phase arrangement, charger rating and realistic simultaneous household or business load.
Run a dedicated AC circuit to the charger; up to 7 m of AC cable is included in the standard installation package.
Install a dedicated breaker/protection arrangement selected for the charger and site, with residual-current and surge protection where required by the charger manufacturer and installation design.
Test earth continuity and resistance, improve bonding, and install or upgrade an earth electrode where the existing earthing is not suitable.
We quote the charger installation as an electrical system: supply capacity, cable route, protection, earthing, mounting and commissioning are all checked together.
Our standard charger installation includes up to 7 metres of AC cable from the agreed supply point to the charger. Longer routes, trenching, concealed work or special containment are quoted separately after the route is checked.
We install a dedicated custom breaker/protection arrangement for the charger. Breaker rating, residual-current protection and surge protection are selected around the charger, supply and manufacturer requirements rather than using a generic breaker.
Existing earthing is tested as part of the job. Where required, 6G can improve bonding, install a dedicated earth electrode, upgrade the earthing conductor and retest before the charger is commissioned.
